WAX stands for Worldwide Asset eXchange and it is a blockchain great for the creation, distribution and hodling of NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens). The WAX blockchain is a fork of EOS, and therefore works in similar ways. The main cryptocurrency in this blockchain is called WAX, and around the web, in exchanges such as Binance, it shows up under the ticker WAXP.

Wallet
To interact with the WAX chain, create NFTs, and so on, a wallet is necessary. A wallet will store all funds, tokens, and NFTs. The easiest and most popular option is the web wallet at
MyCloudWallet, where you can create a free account.
If you are an advanced user, you can use
Anchor wallet, where it may be possible to purchase an username. Anchor also gives you full control such as private keys. This wallet is also used in EOS, Telos, and other Antelope chains.
Resources
When you use a WAX wallet (any of them), you will notice that you will need to stake some WAX to be able to do things. There are three resources: CPU, NET, and RAM.
- CPU and NET: Stake CPU and NET to be able to run Web3 applications on the WAX blockchain. Staking here will also allow you to collect periodic rewards. Example: If you have 20 WAX, stake 18 to CPU and 2 to NET. Yes CPU is more important in most cases.
- RAM: Allows you to store more NFTs in your wallet. If this resource is low, you cannot obtain more NFTs. This resource does not give any rewards.
